The Annapurna Base Camp trek leads to a natural amphitheater that is used as the base camp from which climbers start on their way to conquer the Annapurna Mountain top. The mountain reaches 8091 meters above sea level, and the base camp’s altitude is 4130 meters above sea level.

The trek is not easy, and the adjustment to high altitudes may be difficult, and altitude sickness is very common. On the other hand, anyone with a reasonable level of physical fitness can walk the trek.

While on trek you will reach two popular base camps these are Machhapuchare base camp and Annapurna Base camp. Annapurna base camp trekking trail give you beautiful views of Himalaya range including Machapuchare known as fishtail mountain, Lamjung Himal, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli Peak, Gangapurna.

  1. Day 1 ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU

    On your arrival at Kathmandu, Tribhuwan International Airport, the representative of Adventure Extreme will welcome you & drive you to the respective Hotel . It’s a free day/evening. You can walk to Thamel for shopping.

  2. Day 2 IN KATHMANDU FOR TREK PREPARATION

    The trekking guide and our office representatives will see you in the Hotel after your breakfast. The guide will do a final gear check and organise all the necessary equipment for the trek. Similarly, he will help you to rent or buy the lacking equipment if needed. Then you have a free day to explore around beautiful Kathmandu city. Later in the evening we will go for welcome dinner with the staffs.

  3. Day 3 DRIVE TO POKHARA/ULLERI

    After Breakfast at your Hotel, we will drive to our first destination Ulleri via Pokhara. The drive is about 7/8 hrs. We will spend our first night in Ulleri staying at a guest house.

  4. Day 4 TREK TO GHOREPANI

    It is a very pleasant part of the trek. Most of the days we walk through the jungle and if you come in spring season, you will see lots of Rhododendrons which is our national flower. You’ll also have the chance to see many wild animals and birds and the great view of many snow-capped mountains can be seen. We will be enjoying the breathtaking views of Machapuchare mountain (6997m), Hiunchuli peak (6441m), and the grand Annapurna (7219m) south on the way.

  5. Day 5 VISIT POON HILL & TREK TO TADAPANI

    We will get up early in the morning and climb up to Poon Hill(3210m.). It takes about an hour to get to Poon Hill. You will see the best sunrise and magnificent view of the Himalayas like Annapurna South, Bahari Shikhar, Hiuchuli, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri ranges, Tukuche peak, Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Lamjung Himal, Mt.Manaslu ranges, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and others mountains. After this unforgettable view, we will come back to Ghorepani for breakfast. Then we will trek to Ghandruk. The hike starts with quite a steep uphill section to Deurali pass. It is a similar elevation to Poonhill. We will see all the mountains from here as well. After that, we hike down to Tadapani.

  6. Day 6 TADAPANI TO CHOMRONG (2170 M)

    The trails offer good views of the upper Modi valley. The route starts the long ascent high above the west bank of the Modi Khola. The village of Chhomrong lies tucked at the very base of Himal Chuli.

  7. Day 7 CHOMRONG TO HIMALAYA HOTEL

    Crossing Chomrong Khola, you continue trekking along steep stone steps. On your trails, you bypass rhododendron-covered ridge path, mountainous terrains and forests of bamboo. As you savour awe-inspiring views of Annapurna mountain ranges and Machhapuchhare, you gather more energy and enthusiasm to explore further. During your walk, you will cross Modi Khola, pass through Khuldigar, Bamboo and Dovan and finally reach Himalaya Hotel.

  8. Day 8 TO ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP VIA MACHAPUCHERE BASE CAMP

    The trek remains on the west bank of Modi, now following through a more open valley and eventually emerges into the Sanctuary. Straight ahead is the high lateral Morain of the South Annapurna glacier. The Annapurna Base Camp trek leads to a natural amphitheatre that is used as the base camp from which climbers start on their way to conquer the Annapurna Mountain top. The mountain reaches 8091 meters above sea level, and the base camp’s altitude is 4130 meters above sea level.   9. Day 9 ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP TO HINKU CAVE

    The trial passes through Machhapuchare base camp and all the way down hill to Hinku cave. This area is called Annapurna Sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by mountains.The spectacular Mountain View can be see from this trial.

  10. Day 10 HINGKU CAVE TO CHOMRONG

    The trail up the Modi Khola passes through dense forests of rhododendron and bamboo across Annapurna mountain range. After trekking for 5/6 hours, you reach Chomrong. From Chomrong you can have prominent and mesmerising view of Machhapuchhare. There are many chalet-style wooden lodges at Chomrong.

  11. Day 11 CHOMRONG TO GHANDRUK

    The trail through flatland, forests and terraced fields and crossing the suspension bridge over Khumnu Khola, you enter beautiful village of Ghandruk. You get to witness unique culture, tradition and custom of Gurung community. Ghandruk offers excellent views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Machhapuchhare.

  12. Day 12 TREK TO NAYAPUL AND DRIVE TO POKHARA

    Trek all the way down to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara. If the day is clear, we may see Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (fishtail) and Annapurna III close to our eyes during the walk. In Pokhara, we will walk around the city and Lake Side.

  13. Day 13 DRIVE BACK TO KATHMANDU

    We will drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara, check into your respective Hotel.

Jiten Shrestha

FOUNDER/DIRECTOR

Founder/Director, Mr. Jiten Shrestha was born in a village called Salleri(2413 m) of Solukhumbu District of Nepal. Solukhumbu is famous in the world for mountain tourism. The main attraction of Solukhumbu is Mt. Everest (8848 m). Jiten Shrestha spent his childhood and studied his lower secondary level in Salleri village. Later Jiten Shrestha was selected by the Government of Nepal to study in Kathmandu at Budhanilkantha School. The school was one of the best and was running by the British Government. He compled his higher secondary school from Budhanikantha School and joined Trichandra College in Kathmandu for further education.

Mr. Durga Shrestha (Kaji)

CO- FOUNDER/ADVISER

Durga Shrestha (Kaji) was born in East of Nepal, Bamti Bhandar, Bamti Bhandar is the trail to Everest region. Durga Shrestha spent his childhood in the village studying and helping his parent to run a  Lodge which was called Buddha Lodge. While running the lodge, he met and interacted with a lot of tourists from all over the world and later moved to Kathmandu to start his trekking career.
